Each and every one of Mommy Makes Roses paper flowers is made to order and hand-crafted by artist Cassie Mae Chappell. Cassie Mae has worked for four years to develop and perfect her process for making the roses and is currently developing several other flowers to be released soon.
The rose petals are handcut from coffee filters and carefully formed into a rose. The paper blooms are then handpainted using high quality watercolors, to resemble a variety of tea roses. The stems are created using floral stems and wire and the leaves are handcut from handmade textured paper with great attention to all the fine details . The sizes vary, from miniature blooms that are 1 1/2" in diameter, to an extra double full bloom which is between 8" and 9" in diameter.
Although the roses look real and delicate, they are extremely durable and will last for years, with proper care. If purchasing the roses it is important to handle them properly to keep them in the best condition possible by never holding them from the bloom end and keeping them propped upright at all times. It is also important to arrange them with care by not placing them to close together and squishing the curled outer petals.

CARING FOR THE ROSES
For best results avoid putting the roses in direct sunlight and away from moisture. to dust the flowers simply gently tap the stems against the edge of a hard surface, or sweep the surface of the petals lightly with a small soft paint brush.
